Academic Empowerment Learning Center (AELC) provides parents with a means of improving upon or advancing their child's individual math skill. As the importance of early intervention is being recognized, we strive to provide our children with that little extra push. We are conveniently located in the Ritchie Business Center at 537 Ritchie Road, Capitol Heights, Maryland 20743. We can be reached on 301-808-4600 Monday thru Saturday during normal business hours. We offer supplemental services in the area of mathematics, reading, art, and championship chess.

Improvement of these areas provide children with the confidence they need to compete in a world that focuses on talents and abilities.

Purpose
Our purpose is to provide quality service to parents seeking options for their child's future. We utilize math empowerment through championship chess, Math-Power®, SRA reading, and talented and gifted art class. We strive to provide the parents and child(ren) with noticeable results either at or above the grade level as quickly as possible. We believe every child is capable of learning anything that he/she sets out to learn. We also believe that every child is unique thus making their individual ability to learn and retain what they have learned unique. That's why the method of teaching, lesson plan and reward mechanism will be tailored for each specific child's needs based on an initial assessment. Results will also be dependant on the length of program that you enroll in and the amount of time your child spend's reinforcing what we teach.
Goal
Ou goal is to assist the Nation in its efforts to leave no child behind as indicated in President Bush's "No Child Left Behind" initiative. Our children are our future, so we must address their needs to ensure the security of our Nation.
